Wake FC Girls Spring Off-Season League

Wake FC Girls Off-Season League

The OSL is a competitive training opportunity for players born in 2005 and provides development to those who only play the fall season. When the US Soccer Federation implemented age groups by birth year, the 15U age division comprised of 8th & 9th grade players created a gap. This means some 15U players do not have a club season or school team to play on during the spring season, while others do. OSL was created to provide 15U players an opportunity to focus on their training and development over the spring season while those in high school play their seasons. Players born in 2004 have also been permitted to participate.

Who can participate?

OSL is open to all female players born in 2005 or 2004 who played classic soccer with Wake FC in the fall. There is no additional tryout required to participate in OSL. There is a participation fee.

Training will start the week of February 17th and run through to April 17th. As a club, we understand that high school soccer is very important for our girls and it will not be an issue if players miss OSL practice at times.

OSL is a great opportunity for the players to keep active during this time when the majority of the age group are playing in high school. We will emphasize technical training throughout the duration of the program to help the individual improve as much as possible during the spring.
