Wake FC 2019-20 National Premier League Information

Wake FC is pleased to again compete in the South Atlantic NPL for the 2019/2020 season. Since 2016 NPL has become a staple of the Wake FC player development model. For 2019/20, Wake FC is expanding NPL with dedicated teams participating in the competition.

From 12U-19U, Wake FC boys and girls teams will compete against some of the best clubs in the Southeast and the nation, opening up new opportunities for player growth, college recruiting and entry into some of the best national competitions. Additionally, NPL participation allows Wake FC players to get noticed by national selection programs, such as id², and enhances college recruiting.

Each year the top teams in the South Atlantic NPL will go on to compete in the ENPL National Playoffs and ENPL National Finals. These teams will compete against the top NPL and ECNL teams in the country for a national championship.

"For the 2019/2020 year, we will have separate NPL teams in the 03, 04, 05 & 06 Boy's age groups. Coach Mark Jonas and coach Santiago Fusilier will lead these teams respectively. The goal of each age group at Wake FC is to provide players the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and to go on to the highest competitive level they can achieve."

"There will be some times throughout the year where NPL teams, Wake Blue teams or some North Gold teams may interact in trainings, outside competitions or tournaments. We have a wealth of quality coaches, facilities and competitive platforms that will allow us to serve and develop our top players. By bringing in the USL2 and WPSL teams this will allow our Wake FC players to compete for us during their collegiate careers and hopefully propel some onto professional soccer." - David Allred Executive Director

Elite National Premier League brings together the best NPL teams and ECNL teams from around the country into one single competition. ENPL competition includes 14-U, 15-U, 16-U, 17-U and 19-U boys age groups, and includes participating teams from two independent qualification paths: (i) qualifying teams from designated National Premier Leagues across the country; and (ii) qualifying teams from ECNL club-based conferences across the country. These teams came together to compete for the ENPL National Finals.

By providing qualification paths for both team-based and club-based competitions, the ENPL features the best boys players in US Club Soccer. The regular season competition within each NPL and Boys ECNL Conference are unique and independently structured; however, consistent technical and competitive standards apply, and all teams focus on the same postseason destination: The ENPL Playoffs.
