    About USL League Two

    USL League Two, formerly the Premier Development League, is the proven development leader in North America amateur soccer. The league contains more than 70 teams from around the U.S. and Canada, split into regional divisions. Consisting of 14 regular season matches played over the summer, the schedule offers elite collegiate players the opportunity to showcase and develop their skills against a high level of competition without disrupting their NCAA eligibility. More than 70 percent of all MLS SuperDraft selections since 2010 have featured experience in the PDL/USL2.

    Wake FC enters its inaugural season of participation in USL League Two this summer. Beginning in early May and continuing through July, Wake FC will compete against six other clubs in the South Atlantic Division, with the goal of continuing to the League Two playoffs. Wake FC's USL League Two team is the final piece of the Wake FC development pathway, offering top players from around the area the chance to continue their amateur soccer careers at the U23 level.

    Wake FC is coached by Gary Heale. Coach Heale is a senior boys director for Wake FC's youth program, and has decades of experience as a coach and player in the U.S. and abroad.

    - Played as a forward for Luton Town and Reading Football Club between 1978 and 1982

    - Played for Spara Rotterdam in the Netherlands

    - Played in the NASL, Western Soccer League and A-League for the San Diego Sockers, Seattle Storm, and Seattle Sounders

    - Played in the MISL for the Tacoma Stars, Los Angeles Lazers and St. Louis Storm

    -Head coach of the Washington Premier FC Academy in Tacoma, Washington


    Open Tryouts

    Wake FC first team and reserve team spots still remain. To complete the team, the club will host an open tryout for all interested players in the area. Players must be at least 18-years-old by the tryout date. Please fill out a tryout registration form below prior to heading to the field. All players should check in at the field and must have signed the registration and liability waiver.

    Open Tryout: May 5, 5-7 p.m. at Ting Park in Holly Springs, NC.
