Wake FC Teams Participate in National League Showcase & Playoffs

Wake County, N.C. - (March 17, 2021) - This past weekend, seven Wake FC boys teams participated in the National League Playoffs in Greensboro. Caleb Norkus, WFC Director of Coaching, commented, "We had a great weekend in Greensboro and had a lot of success with our teams. Teams came from around the country, as far as Hawaii and California, and the level of competition was great."

Norkus added, "The level of competition was really good a few weeks ago at the girls National League Playoffs, with teams coming from as far away as Alaska. Next year, National League is revising their format and introducing National League P.R.O. on both the girls and the boys sides and Wake FC is really excited for all of our players that will get to participate. The college recruiting component of National League P.R.O. has been enhanced and we think that will be very beneficial for our players and their dreams of playing in college."

This coming weekend, 07 WFC Blue and 07 WFC Blue G travel to National League Playoffs in Orlando, Florida where they will compete to advance to the USYS National Championships in July.
